Cyber Challenge / Capture the Flag
Capture the Flag (CTF) is a hands-on learning approach in which participants test their knowledge and skills by solving cybersecurity challenges.
Participants solve challenges in areas such as cryptography, networking, web security and digital forensics to find answers known as “flags”. CTFs are not only for experienced competitors: challenge difficulty can range from beginner to specialist level.

COLLABORATION
In 2024, Cyber Hiroshima and SudoCyber worked together to run a CTF for students in Japan as part of a CyberFirst-related event. Cyber Hiroshima operated the event in Tokyo, while SudoCyber provided exercises in both English and Japanese from Wales through SudoRange.
PROGRAMMES
Cyber Hiroshima aims to develop CTFs and Cyber Challenges as hands-on programmes suited to different stages of learning and different objectives.
Hands-on learning open to beginners.
Team capability assessment and training.
A short hands-on cybersecurity experience.
An international collaborative exercise drawing on our network with Wales.
